okay!! so i was wondering what life would be like if we could all live as though this earth has all the trappings of the paradise we often imagine:  so i imagined a world where we all experience the pleasantries of heaven while yet caught in the weathered garbs of the earth:

HEAVEN ON EARTH
There is that green hill far away
There is that purple land yon the stills
An elixir of heightened passion
A festival of pure devotion

Where our hearts knows no lust
Our spirit soar yon grey courses
And every moment’s heavy with passion
Love ticking like a petulant clock

We may live here with the dregs of ambition
But our souls are not of same propensities
And though we feel the earth beneath us
Our hearts are fled long away from hence
good afternoon friends. have you ever wondered why some things are the way they are?
well i do that a lot and after much thinking, i came to this conclusion about an issue that has been tugging me...

HOW TO BE RICH AT ALL TIMES
Some things in life leaves you puzzled as to whether there is a God and if there is: why things are often conflicted.
Recently I was in the office when a colleague walked in and saw a recently acquired device on my desk: An iphone4.
“Ha! Big boy” he hailed “Na you dey reign oh” he added as he felt the sleek nature of the device
“How much did you get it?” he asked “This thing looks like it will be worth over a hundred thousand” he added suggestively
I nodded in concurrence to the price range but went on to inform him that I didn’t purchase the device myself but that it was a gift from my elder brother.
He stared at me in gaping surprise like I had just called Obama a racist. When eventually I asked him the reason for his surprise, he went on to explain how all through his life he has never been given any thing for free and how he has come to the conclusion that before anyone would give anything free to another person, he or she must have something more than that gift in his or her mind as a reward.
This seemed utterly ridiculous to me. All through my life I have enjoyed things for free and have equally given things for free most times with no ulterior motive involved.
Never did it occur to me that out there were people to whom the idea of a free gift was alien.
The statement “what you have is not valuable to you until you lose it” suddenly made sense to me but most important was what I learnt after listening to his life story.
According to him, he has neither brother, sister nor parents. He has been alone from the day he came to Lagos. He has lived on the train station, has had to sleep in the church for a while, even washed cars for his fellow church members until he was able to hustle enough to learn music and make a passable living.
And in spite of this, he still measured his situation to be roses and diamond when compared to others. He drew my attention to a particular scenario when he was trekking down from Badagry and saw a teenage boy cuddled in a wrapper under the bridge and it occurred to him that even in his predicament, he was still better than some people.
It was at that moment that a lot of things became clear to me: the anger that always resonates in this said colleague of mine, his interrogative way of approaching everything and his extreme ambitious nature.
Sometimes it seems life defines for us what we are to be and personally i think it is not fair on all. Or is it, what do you think?
Here are some lessons I learnt from that day and I hope you keep them to heart.
Life should not be measured in possessions and comfort but in being happy everyday from the little successes we can get. So whether you are in the palace or in the streets, you deserve to be happy and enjoy every moment of life.
If you are fortunate to have things others do not have, it is not an avenue to feel puffed and royal, it is only an opportunity to reach out to others who are not that fortunate.
Nothing in life is permitted to define your character, mood and personality because what is gloomy and drab today can tomorrow become a light to all.
You don’t have to work and struggle for everything in life because the best thing in life comes freely.
All you need to have a happy and fulfilled life is to find a purpose that brings joy to you and devote all your life to it.
Nothing should be too big to give or receive.
If your main purpose in life is material possessions, then you are bound to end up depressed in life.

here are some poems that came to me in my sanctuary of deep reflection. read and let me know your opinion

RANDOM THOUGHTS
Hope is a fickle word
The blunt edge of a dwindling sword
Time is of vague conceit
A loner’s dance to strange deceit

Memories are uncertain friends
Seeming to go but never tends
Love is a woman weapon
And a sly man’s coupon

Death is the strangest of all
Fierce, weird, ugly and tall
If I had but time I would have them all
But who knows whence I might fall

GENTLE THROES
How much longer can we go?
Each gentle thrust of lust and woe
Who shall oil the wheels of our hearts?
As we stumble thro fate’s muddy path

Sweet sorrows we all have
As gentle groans our troubles carve
We cry through the blood red rivers
While our soul lustfully shivers

Dear lover, shall we go all night?
In Interludes of debase blight
Perhaps we can stare at the moon
And find knowledge in her pregnant gloom

Or dance the fierce tune of fire
Rekindling: A phoenix born of mire
Each day we go through these motions
Our vain and lowly devotions

Until hope teaches us the songs
Of painless love and where beauty belongs
