DEDICATION TO A VERY SPECIAL PERSON

Last weekend, I met a very special person and I wrote this poem just for her.

LAYERS OF VEILED BEAUTY

 

How deep are the thoughts in your heart?

What shade of chrome is that fire stirring within?

You reach to the world with bold arms

Desperate for the illumination in fate’s grueling path

Each step of passion a legacy to an unquenched craving

 

But I have seen beyond the façade of juvenility

A soul, rich in love and flamed with rabid desires

I have reached out to hold on to that elixir

But each moment a layer unfolds over another

 

You in whose eyes I had a glimpse of renewal

A perfect blend of aesthetics and mercury

A fickle and transient flow of colorful emotions

A perfect harmony of flare and care

 

But I have seen beyond the façade of juvenility

A soul, rich in love and flamed with rabid desires

I have reached out to hold on to that elixir

But each moment a layer unfolds over another

 

 

And I have wished from the first day

To glimpse into that layered soul

And hold on in my arms
