                    ONION LAYERS
the only me i remember hides beneath a cloak
oft different from the soul beneath
i have grown too used to her complexion
that i cannot fashion the shape of my soul

so i dug deep into the vortex of me
and more layers i found where layers left
each peel a newer cloak of uncertainty
till i am left with an ugly stub

only then did i fathom the paradox
that who we are lies not within
but is rooted in the source from whence
that within was curbed

so i took my fruit and married the earth
for then i realized there was never a mystery
i am just an onion fruit
made to flavor the lives of others

THE SHADOWS THAT LURKS
Fading like a shadow, evanescent like snow
this shadow we call life and do not know
here today a beacon of hope and certitude
there tomorrow an emblem of fate's ingratitude

Tears of regret, deep rooted pain and dread
of life's transiency and fate's cruelty
but that also fades with the shadow
the shadow that we now know

Too young she was
still blossoming in love
now gone beyond
the circle of darkness and void

For if we are by our acts remembered
then she never lived
but in puerile smiles and cries
and vain tantrums and wild dances

Indeed what shall her epitaph read?
what requiem shall we sing in dark clothing?
what shall dwell in her pages
Oh! by whom shall we remember her

Too young she was
still blossoming in love
now gone beyond
the circle of darkness and void

Alas! young and full of love
now to be reborn
we shall remember her legacy
the legacy of a story untold

what do you do when you witness the death of a very young child?
how do you feel?
i wrote this poem in response to that question and that experience.
believe me, it is not the best of feeling, it crushes your hope in life and fairness and it smolders your believe in fate.
but such is life
OR WHAT DO YOU THINK?

DAH- The home of music and literature: welcome messgae:     Hey guys! on behalf of the team at D. A. H, I'd like to welcome you guys on board this special trip of creativity and excellence. ...

THE FACE OF ART

                                       THE FACE OF ART
Throw in the brushes and strokes here
let us give character to art's dimensions
resonating lines void of fear
palettes and strokes of sharpened visions

Too long have you wondered dear hermit
i have watched you watch the setting sun
beneath that sequoia tree void of wit
seeking a miracle to fashion art's urn

worry no more for her face have i seen
lounged in the pool of the plutonian spring
yes. lights did spark at beauty so serene
still there was that lack of ethereal ring

she walks both the yellow and brown path
plagued by fear like us all
she dances to rhythm and weeps when hurt
and is not a Mona Lisa in a french mall

when she spoke it was not a rumble
but a sotto thunderous whisper
a cry in the wilderness of shadowed trouble
a song to the passionate soul none sweeter

men who seek me in the dark
must shift their tent to areas brighter
for though the tunnel leads to light
it remains dark after the tide

Friday, 10 April 2015

Today 10th of April is my birthday so i have decided to start a new anthology of poems in honor of God and me...
i have a lot to talk about but that will have to wait
enjoy...

CONVERSATIONS: Too many big words
(ANTHOLOGY OF POEMS THAT CONTRASTS BIG WORDS WITH SIMPLE THEMES)

CONVERSATION 1
I am convulsed genially of expressions
There resides within this vessel a vortex
It rages like snow in Christmas
And green weed in autumn

Depart! Depravity and incertitude
Twin sisters of all Gothic and surreal
It’s a queer day
Perchance the sun will hoist her gargantuan mast

And the moon a melancholic tune
The stars might caper in hilarious gaiety
And blue leaves fall from green skies
Till I recall a certain phenomenon

Maybe all I need do in simplicity
Is to myself a happy birthday wish
For big words doth spoil big days
And in simplicity alone I was formed
